Name: Matt Hammond
Role: Head of Sales
Matt is usually based in our Ipswich office but remote working until restrictions are lifted. Much like the rest of us, he’s really looking forward to getting back to the office very soon. Matt joined Calteq in 2012 as head of mobile and became our head of sales last April.
His role encompasses the complete sales process from pricing and propositions, customer acquisition and retention to pre and post-sales implementation and service. Apparently, he also doubles up as a good tea boy!

Matt’s expertise is far-reaching when it comes to communications and there’s not much he doesn’t know about hosted solutions, mobile, and connectivity.
What does a typical day look like for Matt?
A typical day involves pricing any existing and new customer product inquiries, routinely speaking to partners, resellers, and suppliers about ongoing projects and future opportunities along with working on the acquisition of any potential new clients.
Interests and hobbies
In his leisure time, Matt enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons and, continuing the office theme, is a big lover of sports. Motorsport, golf, and NFL are his top three. He also tells us he’s a keen gardener, but we need some more evidence to prove that!
