Calteq celebrates team success
Calteq has a longstanding commitment to empowering employees through education and so it comes as no surprise that there were celebrations recently as employee Jermaine Clarke successfully completed his first year studies.
Jermaine, based in the company’s Ipswich office, is studying a 2-year Business Management course at the Open University, and has just successfully completed his first year. The course has offered Jermaine the opportunity to study a wide range of business topics including accounting/finance, business ethics, marketing and economic, global and political context.
Jermaine comments “The most challenging aspect of doing open university is finding the time to study whilst working full time and trying to balance family life. However, I am thoroughly enjoying the course and it has really added value to what I do in the business, particularly with regards to customer insight.” Jermaine adds “It’s been a long time since I studied and I don’t consider myself academic, so I was apprehensive that I still had the skills. The team at Calteq have been really supportive, so that has definitely helped me.”
Nigel Willetts, Director at Calteq comments “We’re thrilled that Jermaine has had a successful first year in his studies – this is a real testament to all his hard work. We firmly believe in providing ongoing training for all of our employees – it is a vital ingredient in keeping the team engaged and happy in their work and it also has great benefit for the business with the introduction of new, relevant skills.”
